Ang mutual aid ay pagdadamayan. Ito ay kusang-loob na pagbibigayan ng kasaganahan at serbisyo para sa pakinabang ng bawat isa.

No. Bayanihan is a shared group activity, such as working together to move a nipa house. It embodies the enthusiasm in helping one’s neighbors, from being part of a community. When a burden is shared together with a positive attitude with a sense of camaraderie, the burden feels lighter.

Damayan: Pakikiisa, Hindi Pagbibigay Lang!

DAMAYAN: Pakikiisa, hindi pagbibigay lang Ang punto ay ang magtulungan tayong iangat ang isa't isa, hindi tratuhin ang iba na kaawa-awa. Nag-aabot lang tayo ng kamay sa mga miyembro ng komunidad na kailangan ng tulong sa panahon ng malubhang kahirapan. Nandito tayo para ipaalalang maaasahan natin ang isa't isa, at hindi na wala silang maiaambag o magagawa nang walang donasyon. Tutal, wala naman tayong ibang maaasahan kung hindi ang isa't isa.

The goal is to help each other out, not treat others like they are charity cases. We are just offering a hand to members of our community who might need help in these difficult times. We are here to remind each other that we can rely on one another, not that they are helpless without us. After all, we can't really rely on anyone else.

Pasasalamat hindi Endorsement

Lahat ng ambag ay pinapahalagahan dahil iba-iba ang ating kakayahan. Hindi natin binibigyan ng especial na pagkalinga sa ambag ang mga corporation dahil lang sa mas marami ito kayamanan. Hindi din natin ini-endorse ang mga politico dahil sa nakasanayan na kinilala sila dahil lang sa kanilang position.

We value all contributions and recognise that people have different abilities, skills, and needs. We don’t put more value in the peso amount contributed, give special acknowledgements to people with money or endorse people with political power.

Damayan Hindi Ayuda

Ang mutual aid ay hindi ayuda. Ang ayuda ay pera ng mamayayan na ipinapamahagi ng gobyerno sa mga nangangailangan. Ang ayuda dapat ibigay na lang, wag na ihalo sa pantry para mapagyabang ng mga politico.

Stimulus comes from taxpayers money that is distributed by the government. Stimulus should be directly provided to citizens. It should not be sent to community pantries in order to get endorsements for the mutual aid efforts.

Pulitiko o Lingkod Bayan?

Ang katapatan ng isang pulitiko ay nangagaling sa nagbibigay ng pera. Kumikilos ang mga pulitiko sa kanilang sariling interes. Ginagampanan ng mga pulitiko ang emosyon at pananaw ng mga tao, bagaman sa katotohanan at dahilan.

Ang lingkod bayan ay palaging kumikilos para sa pinakamahusay na interes ng publiko, maging ito man ay popular o hindi. Ang isang lingkod sa publiko ay hindi kumikilos para sa karangalan, kapangyarihan, o pera. Ang isang tagapaglingkod sa publiko ay kumikilos lamang upang maglingkod sa pamayanan.

A politician's allegiance is to the ones who provide the money. Politicians act in their own best interest. Politicians play on people's emotions and perceptions, independent of facts and reason.

A public servant will always act in the best interest of the public, whether it is popular or not. Finally, a public servant does not act for glory, power, or money. A public servant acts only to serve the community.

Kusang-loob na Pagbibigayan

Lahat po ng nagbibigay sa pantry ay mamamayan na walang halong position pantay po tayo sa community pantry. kapalit, condition o obligasyon ang dumarating bilang isang o kapanyarihan. Pantay Wala pong hinihingin ating pagtulong.

We all come in as equals in the pantry without our positions and power. We offer our help freely, without conditions or obligations.

Pagsasamasama

Lahat po ay sama-sama sa ating komunidad. Lahat po tayo ay pantay pantay kahit ano man ang ating situwasyon. Di kagaya ng Charity at Gobyerno na namimili at nag dedecisyon kung ano ang ating pangangailangan; ang community pantry ay para sa lahat at naniniwala tayo sa bawat isa.

We are radically inclusive and meet each other where we are. Charities and government institutions set up means-tests and barriers to access; mutual aid is open to all and based on deep trust.

Lahat ay Mahalaga

Lahat ng tao ay may dignidad. Ang bawat buhay ay mahalaga. Ang bawat tao'y karapat-dapat na mahalin, alagaan at mabuhay.

Tayo po ang nakakaalam ng ating pamumuhay. Sa ating damayan, tayo po ay sumusuporta at paglaanan ang isat isat ng buhay at mundo na gusto nating makita at maisabuhay.
